... Because Everyone Can Build a Family

At Match Time

Remember that we always pay special attention to your vision of your ideal surrogacy experience. What sort of relationship are you interested in? What type of family do you want to help? Although CFC stands firm in our commitment to help ALL types of intended parents build families, we will never try to force a match. We have every type of intended parent – gay, straight, single, and partnered – and we will only match you to IPs who truly fit your preferences.

Once we have identified intended parents who we believe are a perfect match, we will send you a letter that they have written for you, along with a photo. The letter will tell you all about them, their lives, their family, and how they came to need a surrogate to help them.

At this point, you can rest assured that we have also run your application and doctor’s form through an IVF clinic and received an initial green light for you to proceed as a surrogate candidate. (Please note that this is not a guarantee that you will pass medical screening, but it is an initial approval to move forward, based on the fact that there are no disqualifying medical flags in your application or known medical history.)

Once you agree to move forward, we will assign you a dedicated case manager. Your case manager will work with your schedules to coordinate your match meeting, either in person or via video conference.

Your case manager will attend the match meeting with you to facilitate the conversation and keep the meeting on track. You will have a chance to get to know one another, ask questions, and review your preferences and your feelings about the “big” pregnancy and journey preferences. Once the meeting has concluded, we will regroup, and get your feelings on moving forward. If everyone is in agreement – the journey begins, and your case manager begins to coordinate the initial medical and psych screens.

Below is the approximate timeline from the time you are matched with IPs to the embryo transfer:
